Passignano sul Trasimeno is a little town in front of Trasimeno Lake
which is less than 20 minutes drive from Cortona. Once you're there you can drive to Assisi, famous for its saint and Perugia
Tuscany by sea: Bolgheri and Argentario
only 2 hours drive from Cortona you'll find the wild etruscan coast, a must see for wine lovers and hidden beaches. Heading to Bolgheri mostly famous wine Sassicaia
... and then straight to the sea from Porto Ercole and Porto Santo Stefano.
